Mayfair CA junior Damien Maldonado won the 3-mile boys varsity Jade race in 15:13.3 at the Apache Invitational at Legg Lake and Whittier Narrows in El Monte, Calif. Maldonado helped Mayfair place five scorers in the top 35 to finish second behind South Pasadena CA by a 61-84 margin.
